Continuing with the "Meeting Our Staff" series that we've been running on our insurance blog, today we share a little chat we had with Stephanie Thomas, who works in commercial lines here at Sidle Insurance. We discussed her experiences working with us and how they differ from her past experiences working in insurance.

What’s it like working for a small, family-owned business?
I like working in this setting because I used to work on the company side for a much larger company several years ago, it’s very different. The Sidles are much more family oriented and understanding.
What’s your favorite thing about working in insurance?
It’s never the same thing every day. I like the variation.
What’s the most challenging part of your job?
Finding the right coverage for some of our bigger commercial clients, or for some of our clients who own very unique businesses.
What is a typical day like working at Sidle Insurance?
There is no typical day…which keeps things interesting.
What are three ways you would describe yourself as a worker?
Helpful, quiet & good at staying focused even when it’s busy in the office (I’m good at tuning others out)
What makes you feel accomplished at work?
Finishing the majority of the tasks I have planned for the day.
What do you enjoy doing with your free time?
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my kids and fiancée.
